Officer Duties as outlined in JWE PTA Standing Rules
President
- Support and maintain a good working relationship with school administration, faculty and staff
- Consult the school Principal on all plans
- Be responsible for the coordination of council, state, and national awards applications with committee chairs
1st VP Programs
- Ensure local programs support the purposes of the PTA;
- Coordinate Local PTA programs with National and State programs and projects where applicable
- Support and serve on the Arts in Education, Counselor Crew, Curriculum Support, Eureka Science, LASSO, MVP, RSVP, Environmental, Healthy Lifestyles, Youth Protection and Budget and Finance committees
4th VP Volunteers
- Lead the recruitment, coordination, and recognition of volunteers
- Oversee and assist the following volunteer efforts, should this Local PTA choose to provide them: Junior Achievement assistance, Lunchroom assistance, School Clinic assistance, School Office assistance and Workroom assistance
- Attend VIPS general board meetings in the district
- Report volunteer hours to VIPS in a timely manner
Treasurer
- Count the monies received and provide a dated receipt, retaining a copy, to the counter or relevant committee chair
- Promptly deposit funds into the PTA bank account
- Provide the secretary with a financial report for the current period, including beginning balance, income, expenditures, and ending balance at all meetings of this Local PTA
- Provide reports and analysis to any member of this Local PTA as requested in a timely manner
- Maintain a list of assets owned by the PTA
- Maintain a list of items the PTA has purchased for the school
- Maintain a record of reviewed bids submitted for PTA goods and services
- Identify and ensure the approval of two (2) Tax free days by the members of this association
